Taking place on satursay 13th septemer 2008

From 9am onwards you can join a number of guided circular walks exploring the beautiful North Downs Way and surrounding countryside near Wye. There's one to suit all ages and abilities.

From 12.30pm, the celebrations begin...

• witness Guinness World Record™ attempts for simultaneous cartwheels and snails on a face!
• enjoy a slice of giant birthday cake
• have your face painted
• bring a picnic or buy our local fayre
• have a go at Nordic Walking

Programme for the day

9.00am onwards: Guided walks leave Withersdane Hall

12.00 - 12.30pm: Guided walks return to Withersdane Hall

12.30pm: The celebrations begin on the main lawn at Withersdane Hall

1.00 pm: World record attempt – simultaneous cartwheels

1.30 pm: World record attempt – number of snails on a face

2.00 pm: Cut the cake and sing Happy Birthday

2.30 pm onwards: Guided walks

3.30pm – 4.00 pm: Close - Some guided walks may finish later

On the site at Withersdane Hall there will be a range of stalls selling locally produced food and refreshments. There will be a picnic area if you want to bring your own food. There will also be stalls from MacMillan Cancer Care, Natural England, the Kentish Stour Countryside Project and Walk Awhile Walking Holidays plus live music and story telling.

How to join the celebrations

Everyone is welcome to join the celebrations on Saturday 13th September. You can just turn up on the day, but if you book a walk or pre-register online to join the cartwheels attempt or simply enjoy the fun, you'll get a free gift on the day.
